Plasti Dip® Aerosols
Want to make them spray better?
The genuine USA Plasti Dip aerosols have a high rubber build to them. Our warehouse is very cold. The rubber will settle. Shaking alone will not agitate it enough. Keeping it indoors will not soften it enough to be able to agitate the can with shaking.
This is the best method we have found. Works perfectly and makes the aerosols spray 100% better. We have been using this method for over a decade. We know no one reads the actual can (or this!), but Plasti Dip USA even encourage this on their instructions!

So, what do we do!
Boil a kettle, just short of finishing, turn off. Pour into a bucket. Sit the can in it for a few mins. Remove and dry it. Give the can a good shake. Brucie bonus is it keeps your hands warm on a cold day. It also dries quicker between coats. We put it back in between coats. Check the water is still hot before doing this though!

- Boil a kettle
- Pour into a jug
- Sit the can in the jug for a few minutes to warm it up
- Dry can and shake well
- Use as described leaving 10 mins between coats, 5 coats is best.
- Leave overnight to dry and cure

Warning, putting in fully boiling water and leaving can result in the bottom of the can 'popping' out. Shooting can in the air and sometimes splitting and spraying the contents. Don't ask us how we know!
